Duc Nguyen
Local Expert • Born on Phu Quoc • Licensed Guide since 2018
Duc was born in Duong Dong — the main town of Phu Quoc — where his family has run a seafood restaurant for three generations. He grew up fishing in Ham Ninh and knows every hidden cove between An Thoi and Bai Thom.
Since 2018 he has been a licensed tour guide registered with the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. He leads snorkelling trips to Mong Tay, historical tours of Coconut Tree Prison, and night-market food walks for international guests.
On Phu Quoc Villa's editorial team, Duc fact-checks every guide for Vietnamese cultural accuracy, place-name transliteration, and seasonal weather reality (not tourist-brochure weather).

Why I partner with Phu Quoc Villa
Direct-booking platforms keep money in the local community. The OTA commission that goes to Booking or Airbnb (15-20%) could be paying local chefs, drivers, cleaners. I believe in transparent pricing and real local experience — that's why I write for Phu Quoc Villa.
