Ong Lang Beach (Bãi Ông Lang) lies on the north-west coast of Phu Quoc Island, in Vietnam's Kien Giang province, about 7 km north of the main town of Duong Dong. It shares the same west-facing shoreline as Long Beach, but where Long Beach is busy and built-up, Ong Lang is the island's go-to choice for travellers who want peace, nature and space to breathe.
Rather than one continuous strip, Ong Lang is a series of soft sandy bays separated by low rocky headlands and shaded by coconut palms and tropical forest. How to Get to Ong Lang Beach
From the airport
Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC) sits in the south of the island. Ong Lang is about 16 km / 20-25 minutes by car or Grab — head north past Duong Dong on the coast road. A metered taxi or Grab costs roughly $8-12. Guests who book a villa for five nights or more get a free airport transfer, with a driver meeting you at arrivals.
From Duong Dong town
Ong Lang is just 7 km / about 15 minutes north of Duong Dong. By scooter (rentals ~$6-8/day) follow the coastal road north; by Grab car it's a quick, cheap hop. This makes it easy to base yourself in quiet Ong Lang and pop into town for the Duong Dong Night Market and its restaurants whenever you fancy.

Ong Lang is made up of several connected bays. The sandy sections offer a gentle, gradual entry into calm, clear water — comfortable for families and less-confident swimmers, particularly during the dry season when the sea is at its calmest. Between the sandy stretches you'll find rocky headlands and small coral coves; these are the snorkelling hotspots but call for water shoes.
Because the beach faces west, the surf can pick up during the May-October green season — fine for a paddle, but choose calm days for snorkelling. The water is warm all year (27-30°C).
