Is the Wi-Fi Good Enough for Actual Work?

Fiber broadband (100–300 Mbps download, 50–100 Mbps upload) is standard at villa properties along the western coast — Long Beach, Ong Lang and the areas around Duong Dong. Phu Quoc International Airport sits roughly 9–10 km by road from Duong Dong town, and 20–25 km from the villa areas on the western coast depending on your specific property. That's 20–30 minutes by road in a private vehicle.

For groups of 10–20 people, a private minibus (15–25 seats) handles the transfer in one run at $40–80 USD per vehicle each way. For 20–35 people, two minibuses or a larger chartered coach. Avoid Mai Linh metered taxis for group logistics — they work fine for individuals but coordinating six taxis for a corporate arrival is chaotic.

When to Book a Corporate Retreat on Phu Quoc

November through April is the dry season — temperatures sit at 28–32°C, humidity drops noticeably compared to the wet months, and outdoor activities are reliable. Rain during the dry season happens but is short. May through October brings afternoon showers and some rough sea days that make boat trips uncertain. If the retreat includes any ocean activities, the dry season window is worth the scheduling effort.

December and January are the busiest months. Villa availability for groups of 15+ gets tight quickly, and rates reflect demand. For those months, booking 3–4 months in advance is realistic minimum lead time. For March–April and November, 6–8 weeks advance is usually enough.
